An interesting vacation spot resides near to Dieng called Tambi Tea Plantation. To be exact, it is located in Sapuran Sub-District and belongs to Wonosobo. As the name suggests, it is the place to witness local tea plantation along with its farmers’ activity. The plantation resides on an area of 800 – 2000 meters above the sea level and it is located near to two famous mountains in Dieng called Sumbing and Sindoro. In terms of history, the plantation once belonged to the Dutch’s Company named Bagelen Thee & Kina Maatschavappij. Today, though, Indonesia took over the plantation and made it one of the best attractions in Dieng.

The Nuance

The name of the tea plantation derives from its location, which is Tambi Village. That means visitors can enjoy both the plantation and the village at the same time, including the local culture. However, the most visited plantation is the one that is located in Tlogo Village. The distance is not quite far, actually. Not to mention people can do many things on that site. It is as simple as walking comfortably in the location and enjoying the nature views. Even the air feels so great there. Apart from Tlogo Village, there is also a tea plantation located in Sigedang Village. The location is quite near to Sindoro Mountain. It is also a worthy site to visit!

Exploring Tambi Tea Plantation

In a nutshell, Sapuran Sub-District has three famous tea plantations which reside in Tambi area. All of them are worth a visit, so everyone should never miss them. That means visitors can do tea plantation hopping from one location to the others. As for the tip, it is better to visit those plantations during the harvest time. This way, local farmers are seen there wearing traditional attributes and harvesting the tea. They work diligently so they won’t be annoyed by the presence of tourists. In fact, it is possible to take pictures with them.

Apart from witnessing local farmers’ activity, there are other interesting things to do in those tea plantations including outbound and tea walk. Another fun thing to do is cycling! What tourists need to do is to rent a bike from the locals. As an alternative, they can carry their own bike but it is going to be quite troublesome. Another consideration is the weather. Everyone should make sure to come to the plantations during good weather. Otherwise, the trip is going to be uncomfortable due to bad climate and heavy rains.

Next, visitors are allowed to conduct a family vacation there. Eating foods with family on a mat surrounded by lush tea plants is definitely satisfying. It feels like an exclusive tour, isn’t it? Still, they must get permission from the farmers first prior to enjoying such activity. Have no worries. Some local guides are seen on the site, so visitors can ask for help regarding everything.[/vc_column_text]
